How and when teachers and tutors receive payouts for approved work, confirming service fees are paid on top of earnings and never deducted.
Teachers and tutors receive the full agreed payout for approved work. TeachConnect’s service fee is paid by the school or parent on top of that payout. The fee is never deducted from a teacher’s or tutor’s earnings.
This is a deliberate design choice: the person doing the teaching keeps what was agreed.
Payouts are tied to approved work. Depending on the contract, this means approved periods, approved lessons, or approved milestones. The school or parent approves the work, or it is auto-approved under the Dispute and Approval Policy after the confirmation window passes.
Once work is approved, the matching payout is released from the funded contract and queued for transfer to the teacher’s or tutor’s bank account. Transfers are processed through our payment partner and typically clear within a few business days, subject to bank processing times.
A correct, verified bank account is required to receive payouts. Failed transfers due to incorrect bank details are re-attempted once details are corrected.
TeachConnect does not promise or guarantee statutory deductions or contributions such as PAYE, pension, or NHF. Where a teacher or tutor is engaged directly by a school or parent, responsibility for any such matters rests with the parties under the applicable law.
A payout may be briefly held where there is an open dispute about the related work. Disputes are handled under the Dispute and Approval Policy. An unresolved dispute does not, by itself, damage a teacher’s or tutor’s public status under the Work Record Policy.
