Terms for qualified teachers who use TeachConnect to be matched with schools, accept funded contracts, and receive payouts for approved work.
These terms apply to qualified and experienced teachers who create a TeachConnect profile, accept matches with schools, and deliver funded teaching work through the platform.
TeachConnect is a connection and payment-coordination platform. We help schools, parents, teachers, and tutors find each other and arrange funded work, but we do not employ teachers or tutors and we are not a party to the working relationship between them.
TeachConnect does not guarantee that any teacher or tutor will be hired, selected, or kept, and does not guarantee any specific amount of work, placements, or income. Matching is always subject to approval by the school or parent.
Being on TeachConnect does not guarantee that you will be hired or earn any particular amount. Schools choose and approve teachers. We work to surface good matches and protect your payout once a contract is funded.
When a school funds a contract, the agreed payout is protected before you start. As you deliver and the school approves your work — approved periods, lessons, or milestones — the matching payout is released to you.
You receive the full agreed payout for approved work. TeachConnect’s service fee is paid by the school on top of your payout. The fee is never deducted from your earnings.
TeachConnect does not promise or guarantee statutory deductions or contributions such as PAYE, pension, or NHF on your behalf. Where you are engaged directly by a school, any such matters are between you and the school under the applicable law.
Keep your profile accurate, deliver work you accept to a professional standard, follow each school’s safeguarding rules, and do not take a funded relationship off-platform to avoid fees. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension.
Your profile may have started as an unclaimed listing built from publicly available information. You can claim it to verify, edit, or remove it at any time. See the Profile Claim and Removal Policy.
Feedback about your work is recorded under the Work Record Policy, which uses positive and neutral status labels, ties feedback to funded contracts, and lets you dispute entries. Unresolved disputes do not damage your public status.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and work alongside the Teacher/Tutor Payout Policy, the Payment Protection Terms, the Dispute and Approval Policy, the Work Record Policy, and the Privacy Policy.
