Work Record Policy

How TeachConnect records teaching and tutoring history using positive and neutral status labels, with feedback tied to funded contracts and a right to dispute.

01What the Work Record is

A teacher’s or tutor’s Work Record is a history of work delivered through TeachConnect. It is designed to build trust by recognising completed, approved work — not to publish punishment.

02Positive and neutral status labels

Public status on a Work Record uses positive and neutral labels only — for example, recognising reliable delivery and completed contracts. We do not publish negative public labels that brand a teacher or tutor as “bad”.

03Feedback must be tied to a funded contract

Feedback only counts towards a Work Record when it is tied to a real, funded contract that the parties actually worked on. This prevents unrelated, fake, or retaliatory feedback from affecting a teacher’s or tutor’s standing.

04Right to dispute

A teacher or tutor can dispute any feedback or record they believe is unfair or inaccurate. We review disputes alongside the underlying contract and records under the Dispute and Approval Policy.

05Unresolved disputes do not damage public status

While a dispute is open or unresolved, it does not damage the teacher’s or tutor’s public status. Disputed feedback is not published as negative public status. This protects people from being penalised before a fair outcome is reached.
