Hi, I'm Deborah, an Early Years and Primary Tutor from Nigeria. I help children ages 5–8 build confidence in reading, phonics, English and early mathematics through simple, engaging and age-appropriate lessons. I have a background in Early Childhood Education and several years of hands-on experience working with young children. I started as a Care Assistant and progressed into a Team Lead/Centre Coordinator role, where I supported children's learning and development, planned activities, observed progress and communicated with parents. I understand that children don't all learn in the same way. Some need repetition, some learn better through pictures and games, while others need encouragement before they feel comfortable participating. That's why I keep my lessons interactive rather than making children sit through long explanations. Depending on your child's needs, we can work on: • Phonics and letter sounds • Reading and word recognition • Reading comprehension • English and vocabulary • Counting and number sense • Basic addition and subtraction • Homework support • School readiness and learning confidence My goal isn't just to help a child get the right answer. I want them to understand what they're doing and gradually become confident enough to try independently.
